Flaming Sands are based in Hervey Bay Queensland and have been dancing together for over 10 years, during this time we have established ourselves as one of the premier dance groups in the area.The teacher, dancers and percussionists of Flaming Sands and Drums of Egypt (our Percussion Group) have performed all over South East Queensland and as far afield as Sydney, Melbourne, Thailand & Vietnam.
We are renowned for the care we take in preparation and pride in our performances, working closely with event organisers to ensure a professional delivery and representation of our Dance and Percussion School.
From the traditional Folkloric styles of dance from Egypt, Turkey, and Gulf areas, to modern Cabaret and Fusion styles of belly dancing and performing what has become known as 'The art of belly dance' we draw on our knowledge to create a kaleidoscope of dance.
